Privacy Policy

1. What Stacklyst does
Stacklyst is a Shopify app that connects your Shopify store to external marketplaces (currently eBay, with more platforms coming). It uses AI to generate product listings, suggest platform-optimized pricing, and synchronize listing status across connected channels. The LotScanner feature analyzes photos of auction lots to estimate item values using eBay sold price data.
2. Information we collect
To provide the service, Stacklyst accesses the following data through Shopify's API and connected marketplace APIs: • Shopify store data: product listings, inventory levels, order status, and store settings required to publish and manage listings. • eBay account data: seller credentials (via OAuth), listing data, and sold/ended status of items published through Stacklyst. • Images: photos you upload for listing generation or LotScanner analysis. These are processed by our AI pipeline and are not stored permanently beyond what is needed to generate the listing or valuation. • Usage data: app interactions, feature usage, and error logs used to improve the service and diagnose issues. We do not collect payment information. Shopify and eBay handle all payment processing independently.
3. How we use your information
We use the data we access to: • Generate AI-powered product listings for connected marketplaces • Suggest and apply platform-optimized pricing • Publish, update, and delist items across connected channels • Provide live listing status in your Stacklyst dashboard • Analyze auction lot photos and return itemized valuations (LotScanner) • Send operational notifications (e.g. sync failures, listing errors) • Improve Stacklyst's AI models and overall product quality We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your store or listing data for advertising purposes.
4. Marketplace account deletion
Stacklyst complies with eBay's Marketplace Account Deletion notification requirements. When an eBay user closes their account and a deletion notification is received, Stacklyst removes any stored credentials and associated data for that account within 30 days. If you disconnect your eBay account from Stacklyst, your OAuth tokens are revoked immediately and no further data is accessed from your eBay account.
5. Data sharing
Stacklyst shares data with the following third parties only as required to operate the service: • eBay Developer Program: listing data is submitted to eBay via their API to publish and manage your listings. • AI processing providers: product images and descriptions may be processed by AI model providers under data processing agreements that prohibit use of your data for training. • Infrastructure providers: Stacklyst operates on cloud infrastructure (Vercel, cloud databases) that may store app data in Canada or the United States. We do not share your data with any party beyond what is necessary to deliver the features you use.
6. Data retention
Active account: we retain your store data and listing history for as long as Stacklyst is installed on your Shopify store. After uninstall: we delete your Shopify store data within 48 hours of uninstalling the app. Marketplace credentials are revoked immediately. Anonymized usage analytics may be retained for product improvement purposes. Images uploaded for AI processing are deleted after the listing or valuation is generated, typically within minutes.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold. To make a request, email us at privacy@stacklyst.io and we will respond within 30 days. Canadian users: Stacklyst complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
8. Security
Stacklyst uses industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), OAuth 2.0 for marketplace authentication, and access controls on all stored data. We do not store marketplace passwords.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy when we add new features or connected platforms. Material changes will be communicated via the Stacklyst app dashboard. Continued use of Stacklyst after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
