Getting started
How do I install Stacklyst?
Find Stacklyst in the Shopify App Store and click "Add app." You'll be prompted to connect your eBay seller account via OAuth — no passwords required. Once connected, you're ready to create your first listing.
Do I need an eBay seller account?
Yes. Stacklyst publishes listings on your behalf using your existing eBay seller account. If you don't have one, you can create a free eBay seller account at ebay.ca or ebay.com before connecting to Stacklyst.
Is Stacklyst free?
Stacklyst is free to install. Check the app listing on the Shopify App Store for current plan details and any usage-based pricing.
Listings & publishing
How does AI listing generation work?
Upload a photo of your item. Stacklyst's AI identifies what it is, writes a title and description optimized for each platform, and suggests a category. You can review and edit everything before publishing.
Can I publish to eBay and Shopify at the same time?
Yes. When you create a listing in Stacklyst, you choose which platforms to publish to. Stacklyst handles the formatting differences between platforms automatically — what works on eBay is different from what works on Shopify, and the AI adjusts accordingly.
Why does Stacklyst suggest different prices per platform?
Buyers on eBay and Shopify behave differently. eBay buyers often expect auction or "best offer" pricing; Shopify buyers expect fixed retail pricing. Stacklyst pulls live eBay sold data to suggest a competitive price for each channel separately.
What happens when an item sells?
Stacklyst automatically removes the listing from all other connected platforms within minutes of a confirmed sale. You don't need to manually delist anything.
LotScanner
What is LotScanner?
LotScanner lets you photograph an auction lot — a box or pallet of mixed items — and get an itemized breakdown of what's in it, with estimated resale values from eBay sold data. It's designed to help you decide whether a lot is worth buying before you bid.
How accurate are LotScanner valuations?
Valuations are based on recent eBay sold listings for similar items. Accuracy depends on item condition, photo clarity, and market activity. Treat valuations as estimates to inform your decision, not guaranteed sale prices.
Are my photos stored?
No. Photos uploaded for LotScanner or listing generation are processed and then deleted. We do not store your images beyond what's needed to return a result.
Account & billing
How do I disconnect my eBay account?
Go to Stacklyst settings in your Shopify admin and click "Disconnect eBay." Your OAuth authorization is revoked immediately and no further data is accessed from your eBay account.
What happens to my data if I uninstall Stacklyst?
Your Shopify store data is deleted from our systems within 48 hours of uninstalling. eBay credentials are revoked immediately. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
I'm getting a sync error — what do I do?
First, check that your eBay account is still connected in Stacklyst settings. If the connection looks fine, try disconnecting and reconnecting your eBay account to refresh the authorization. If the issue persists, email us at support@stacklyst.io with your store URL and a description of the error.
